Rich in sugar cane juice is boiled in the vats in order to evaporate water and thicken the syrup.

Into the boiling syrup they add grated coconut as a natural aroma.

To heat up the vats they use timber and dried cane grass after juicing.

When the syrup is thick enough they filter it and pour it into round moulds.

The worker is pouring cold water over the sugar to aid the cooling.
